Alpha Delta Gamma - Beta Chapter

Beta Chapter has had quite a busy Fall semester this year with visits Zeta Chapter for their annual ΑΔΓ Toga party, as well as to Xi chapter in Louisville, Kentucky. We were happy to turn around and host both chapters for our Fall social event at the Jefferson Avenue Bistro. Philanthropy wise, we had a handful of brothers out for both Make A Difference Day and our Habitat for Humanity build for this semester, giving back to Shaw Elementary near the Hill and a new Habitat neighborhood just Northwest of downtown St. Louis.

The colony efforts at McKendree University are a still as strong as ever, with weekly interactions between the colony and Beta Chapter spearheaded by Colony Liaison, Brother Thomas Andrus, and Mister Derrick Cabrera. They are quickly learning the rich tradition of both the National Fraternity and our own local Chapter. This semester marked the first “Candidate Showdown” between both the Colony and Beta Chapter Candidates, and proved to be friendly Quiz Bowl style test of their Fraternity Knowledge. We hope that it becomes a tradition for years to come.

Looking towards the future, Beta Chapter is planning for both the Spring Leadership Conference February 25th along with the 85th Anniversary of Beta Chapter on the Saint Louis University campus. The recently reformed Gateway City Alumni Chapter has taken on planning the 85th for Homecoming Weekend Fall 2012, along with this year’s ΑΔΓ U-Night celebration.
